October 6 birthdays...You're special too!

So if you were following yesterday's blog, October 5th was given special attention for being the day for the most birthdays in the US.  Not wanting to pay favorites, I'm giving October 6th equal billing with a condensed list of the historical happenings on this date!

1866 - The US's first train robbery, $13,000 stolen


1893  - Nabisco Introduces Cream of Wheat

1889 - Moulin Rogue opens in Parin


1890 - Mormon Church outlaws Polygamy

1922 - The great powers of the first world war withdraw from Istanbul

1927 - "Jazz Singer," 1st movie with a sound track, premieres (NYC)

1941 - NY Yankees beat Dodgers 4 games to 1, in 38th World Series

1945 - Tavern owner "Billy Goat" Sianis buys seat for his goat for Game 4 of World Series & is escorted out, he casts goat curse on Cubs

1955 - LSD made illegal in US

1966 - LSD is declared illegal in the United States.

1963 - LA Dodgers sweep NY Yankees, in 60th World Series


1979 - Pope John Paul II is 1st Pope to visit White House


1983 - China PR performs nuclear test at Lop Nor PRC

1996 - Bob Dole & Pres Bill Clinton meet in their 1st debate
