The Best Christmas TV Specials and Movies, #10 & #9

Posted by GoGo Goodie on November 10, 2011.

Yes, I'm already getting in the spirit of the upcoming holidays!  So in the coming weeks, along with my stocking stuffer posts, I'll be writing about the best Christmas TV specials and movies for the family.  To make it more fun, I'll be counting down my Top Ten favorites!

Kicking off today, let's dive into number 10 and 9 on the count down.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Who isn't charmed by this Peanuts classic from 1965.  It holds a special place in my heart as Charlie Brown and the gang discover the real meaning of Christmas.  From the unwanted Christmas Tree Charlie brings home to Linus' speech about Christmas, this is one classic I can't wait to watch again with my kids!

The Grinch

Another animation classic from the 60's, 1966's Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.  First of all, don't you just feel so sorry for the Grinch's dog?!  I know it's just a cartoon, but every darn time I watch this my heart breaks for that poor little dog pulling that overloaded sled!  I even feel more sorry for the dog than little Cindy Lou Who when her presents are taken by the Grinch in hopes of stopping Christmas from coming.  Of course, the Grinch discovers that Christmas is more than just presents, ribbons and food, it's about a spirit of caring and it can't be stopped.....just ask all the Whos in Who-ville!

Thanks for stopping by GoGo Goodie and check back with us as we count down to #1!
